I spent 15 years in corporate life at DLA Piper, managing the Anti-Money Laundering Team. I moved to the UK from Hungary at age 20 for love, feeling like an outsider due to being a non-native English speaker — yet the corporate world gave me purpose, excitement, and the chance to travel.
After becoming a mother to Annabel and Mia, priorities shifted. The role that once energised me began to feel hollow. I kept showing up, but the fulfilment had quietly left the building.
A Health Crisis That Changed Everything
In 2017, I discovered a lump near my shoulder blade. Extensive medical testing followed, along with significant anxiety. Though the lump turned out to be a benign lipoma, the process brought further diagnoses: tinnitus, IBS, and spinal spondylosis. Shortly after, my father-in-law died suddenly from cancer. It was, as I describe it, “a very loud wake up call.”
I chose not to rely solely on medication. Instead, I threw myself into self-development — coaching programmes, and nutrition study at Dale Pinnock’s Culinary Medicine College. This holistic approach resolved my health issues without pharmaceutical intervention and lit a fire in me I hadn’t felt in years.
The Beginning of Twiddle
I launched my nutrition and cooking business, Twiddle, in spring 2019 while still in my corporate role. Eventually I left to commit fully — and I have never looked back.
My message is simple: Don’t wait for something awful to happen to finally start living the life you want. Listen to those inner promptings early. You deserve a life that feels meaningful.
If you are feeling called to make a change — in your health, your habits, or your relationship with food — I would love to help.
